Dimethyl bicyclo[3.2.2]nonane-1,5-dicarboxylate is an organic compound that belongs to the class of cycloaliphatic compounds and has a dicarboxylate structure. It is a colorless liquid with a boiling point of 107 °C at atmospheric pressure and can be synthesized by heating ethylene glycol in the presence of iron. The most common use for this substance is as a precursor in the production of polyurethanes. Dimethyl bicyclo[3.2.2]nonane-1,5-dicarboxylate also has magnetic properties, which can be observed using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). This compound exhibits conformational transitions when exposed to magnetic fields and relaxations when exposed to resonant frequencies between 10 and 15 MHz.
