5-(3-Methylthiophen-2-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-amine is a ligand that binds to the ion channels in cells and activates them. It is used as a research tool in pharmacology and protein interactions. 5-(3-Methylthiophen-2-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-amine has been shown to activate potassium channels by interacting with the receptor site.
