This agent binds to the ATP binding site of c-met, with a potency that is 10 times higher than the natural substrate. 2-Amino-3-fluoro-N-methyl-benzamide has also shown potent inhibition against other protein kinases, such as p38 MAPK and JNK1/2. The selectivity of this agent may be due to its ability to bind to the ATP binding site of c-met.
