3-{[(Propan-2-yl)carbamoyl]amino}benzoic acid is a synthetic amino acid that acts as an activator of ion channels. It is a high purity, water-soluble white powder that can be used in research to study protein interactions. 3-{[(Propan-2-yl)carbamoyl]amino}benzoic acid is also an inhibitor of the aminopeptidase PEPN and has been shown to inhibit the release of substance P from sensory neurons in vitro. 3-{[(Propan-2-yl)carbamoyl]amino}benzoic acid has been identified as a ligand for the CCR4 receptor and has been shown to bind to the extracellular loops of this receptor with high affinity.
