Información del producto
Salvianolic acid B is a flavonoid that has been shown to have anti-cancer activity. It is found in the ethanol extract of Salvadora persica, and may be responsible for the anti-inflammatory effects of this plant. The mechanism of action for salvianolic acid B is not well understood, but it has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation and induce apoptosis by altering gene expression and inhibiting DNA synthesis. Salvianolic acid B has also been shown to inhibit tumor growth in animal models. This compound also inhibits platelet aggregation, which may be due to its ability to inhibit cyclooxygenase-1 and cyclooxygenase-2 enzymes. Salvianolic acid B is not active against Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus or Enterococcus faecalis, but does show activity against Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
