Diisobutylamine Hydrochloride is a polymerization initiator that is used in the production of polycarboxylic acid. Diisobutylamine Hydrochloride absorbs ultraviolet light, which helps to initiate polymerization reactions. This compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects, which may be caused by its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis and increase the release of arachidonic acid from phospholipids. Diisobutylamine Hydrochloride also has aromatic hydrocarbon and pyrimidinetrione groups that are capable of binding to nitrogen atoms in proteins, which can lead to protein denaturation.
