Descripción:1-Phenyl-4-pentyn-1-one is a catalyst that is used in organic synthesis. It has been shown to catalyze the cyclization of toluene and benzene, as well as the triflate addition of dichloromethane to 1,2-dichloroethane. 1-Phenyl-4-pentyn-1-one is highly effective in catalyzing the formation of 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorohexanal from 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzaldehyde and sodium hydroxide. It also catalyzes the reaction between 3-(trimethylsilyl)propene and trimethylboroxine.
