2,3,5-Trichloroaniline is a chemical with industrial applications. It reacts with water to form hydrochloric acid and hydrogen chloride gas. This compound is used as a solvent in various industrial processes such as the manufacture of polyurethane and herbicides. 2,3,5-Trichloroaniline has three different stereoisomers: cis-, trans-, and syn-. The cis-isomer predominates in the environment because it is more stable than the two other stereoisomers.
