The pharmacokinetic properties of 3PO are not well known but it is believed that it can cross the blood-brain barrier. The biological properties of 3PO are still being studied, but it is believed that it may inhibit mitochondrial membrane potential, leading to cell death. Further studies need to be done on the toxicity of 3PO on animals before it can be used for human use.
