Scandoside is a natural product with anti-cancer properties. It has been shown to reduce the number of cervical cancer cells in vitro, as well as inhibit the growth of esophageal cancer cells. Scandoside also has anti-inflammatory and immune-stimulating effects. In addition, it has been found to have antioxidant activity and may have therapeutic benefits for cardiovascular diseases. Scandoside is extracted from the acetate extract of Fructus Asperulae (a plant) and deacetyl asperulosidic acid by hydrolysis using enzymes. The chemical composition of this extract includes iridoid compounds, fatty acids, and other compounds that are responsible for its biological activities. Scandoside can be found in food products such as citrus fruits, wine, beer, and tea leaves.
