Hyp-obzl is a peptide that is composed of three amino acids: Hyp, obzl and glutamic acid. The sequence has been modified to increase its affinity for streptavidin. It was synthesized using the tripeptide synthesis technique and purified by high-performance liquid chromatography (Hplc). Hyp-obzl has an elongated morphology and it binds to the surface of cells in a lamellar arrangement. The peptide also displays agonist activity on muscle cells.
