Descripción

BW A868C is a peptide that is related to the beta-amyloid peptide. It has been shown to inhibit neuronal death by blocking the Ca2+ response and also has anti-inflammatory properties. This drug has been tested in experimental models of allergic airway inflammation, but does not have any therapeutic effect in mice with established airway inflammation. BW A868C appears to be a low potency agonist for EP receptors, which may be due to its inability to cross the blood brain barrier.
