Descripción

Coronalolic acid is a natural product that belongs to the family of acetate extract from Rubiaceae. It has cytotoxic activity in vitro against a panel of human cancer cell lines and also exhibited anti-inflammatory effects in vivo. Coronalolic acid was also shown to inhibit pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α. This compound has been used as an ingredient in medicines for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. The skeleton of coronalolic acid is made up of protocatechuic acid and it has a molecular weight of 234.2 Da.
