BMS-779788 is a drug for the treatment of dyslipidemia and other conditions. It has been shown to inhibit the constitutive androstane receptor, which is involved in inflammation and oxidative stress. BMS-779788 also inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids, leading to an increase in the production of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol. This agent has also been shown to be effective against statins-resistant patients with hypercholesterolemia. BMS-779788 is currently being investigated as a potential therapeutic agent for cardiovascular disorders such as atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, and stroke.
