Descripción:NSC 636819 is a histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor that is used in cancer research. This drug has been shown to inhibit homologous recombination and growth factor-induced DNA repair by blocking the binding of HDAC1 to the substrate, thereby preventing histone deacetylation and reversing the effects of tumor suppressor genes. NSC 636819 also inhibits 2-hydroxyglutarate production, which leads to a higher rate of homologous recombination, leading to cell death. The administration of this drug has been shown to increase tumor size in mouse models with an IDH2 mutation. In addition, NSC 636819 has been shown to be effective in inhibiting cell proliferation in enteroendocrine cells and immunostaining for tgf-β.
