Descripción:
BC 11 Hydrobromide is a proteolytic enzyme that binds to epidermal growth factor (EGF) and proteolytically cleaves the EGF-receptor. BC 11 Hydrobromide has been shown to inhibit axonal growth in a rat model of peripheral nerve injury. It has also been shown to have an anti-tumorigenic effect on cervical cancer cells in vivo, which may be due to its ability to bind EGF and inhibit the expression of growth factor β1. BC 11 Hydrobromide may be used as a therapeutic agent for cancer treatment because it inhibits tumor growth by binding EGF without affecting the normal cellular environment.
