IPI 549-d5 inhibits tumor growth by targeting the m2 phenotype, which is associated with immune cells and is found in high levels in cancerous tumors. IPI 549-d5 was also shown to inhibit autoimmune diseases by blocking the PI3K-γ pathway, which regulates T cell activation.
