This drug also reduces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and nitric oxide through its ability to inhibit the expression of CRTH2 receptors. BI-671800 has been shown to be safe and have a good safety profile. The drug has also demonstrated statistically significant effects on autoimmune diseases in animal models. BI-671800 is not active against tautomers, but it does bind to glutaminyl residues on proteins with high affinity.
