3-(4-Fluorophenyl)-2-(5-methyl-1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazol-1-yl)propanoic acid is a potent and selective activator of the glycine receptor. It binds to the glycine site on the GABAA receptor and increases chloride conductance. 3-(4-Fluorophenyl)-2-(5-methyl-1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazol-1-yl)propanoic acid has been shown to possess a high affinity for the glycine receptor. This compound is an inhibitor of ion channels such as voltage gated sodium channels and calcium channels. 3-(4 - Fluorophenyl)-2-(5 -methyl - 1H - 1,2,3,4 - tetrazol - 1 - yl)propanoic acid is an excellent research tool for studying cell biology and receptor binding.
