Descripción:N-(4-Ethylbenzyl)-n-methylamine is a biodegradable, low temperature, and catalytic process for the production of methylamines from acetonitrile. The reaction mechanism of this process is based on the hydrosilylation of acetone with anions such as chloride or bromide. This process has a high selectivity and does not produce by-products such as carbon dioxide or hydrogen cyanide. The reaction can be performed at room temperature and is able to operate at low temperatures without requiring expensive equipment.
