BMS-1166 is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the death protein (PD-1) found on T cells and prevents the PD-1 receptor from binding with its ligands. This drug has been shown to be effective in inhibiting tumor growth, as well as inducing an antitumor response. BMS-1166 has also been shown to inhibit the production of PD-L1, a molecule that suppresses T cells, which may be due to its ability to bind with high affinity to PD-L1 molecules on cancer cells. BMS-1166 is stable in complex with certain drugs such as biphenyl.
