• Descripción: Tylotoin is a peptide that has been shown to have a proliferative effect on endothelial cells. It also acts as an inhibitor of cell proliferation in keratinocytes and fibroblasts, without affecting the proliferation of other cell types. Tylotoin is structurally similar to the disulfide-rich peptides from the salamander Tylototriton verrucosus, which are known for their wound healing properties. The proliferative effects of tylotoin are thought to be due to its ability to inhibit the proteolytic enzymes that degrade extracellular matrix proteins in endothelial cells.
