Descripción:1-Chloro-4-(prop-2-yn-1-yloxy)benzene is a copper chelating agent that is used in the production of organic chemicals. It is also an antimicrobial agent that has been shown to be active against filamentous fungi, including Aspergillus and Rhizopus species. This compound has been shown to inhibit the growth of Trichosporon species and itraconazole resistant strains of Candida albicans. The antimicrobial activity of 1-chloro-4-(prop-2-yn-1-yloxy)benzene is catalytic and additive, when combined with other agents such as benzalkonium chloride or thymol.
