1-Allyl-3-(4-morpholinophenyl)thiourea is a drug that has been shown to have antibacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other bacteria. It is not toxic to human cells, but it does show some toxicity to mycobacteria. The mechanism of action of 1-allyl-3-(4-morpholinophenyl)thiourea is not well understood, but it may bind to the cell wall or membrane of the bacteria, preventing the entry of essential nutrients. 1-Allyl-3-(4-morpholinophenyl)thiourea has been shown to be effective against resistant strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other bacteria.
