Descripción:Ftaxilide is a molecule that has been shown to have a wide variety of biological activities. It has been shown to be an effective treatment for nematode infections, and is in development as a potential treatment for other diseases such as cardiovascular disease. Ftaxilide is soluble in organic solvents, but insoluble in water. It can be administered by injection or implantation, and is rapidly cleared from the body following administration. The compound has also been shown to bind to proteins-protein interactions and has been used in vivo studies.
Ftaxilide has shown activity against intestinal nematodes, including Trichuris muris, Trichuris suis, Ascaridia galli, and Ancylostoma ceylanicum.
