2-Methyl-4-undecanone is a molecule that has been shown to have a strong shift in the transfer of electrons when exposed to microbiota. It has been proposed that 2-methyl-4-undecanone may serve as a surrogate for aliphatic chains and provide information about their absorption spectra.
