Pseudopalmatine is a natural product that has been shown to have anticancer potential. It is an amorphous, white powder with a melting point of about 80°C and a molecular weight of 357.68. Pseudopalmatine is found in the roots of Stephania tetrandra and has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of cancer, rheumatism, and other diseases. The anticancer activity of pseudopalmatine may be due to its ability to modulate various cellular events related to tumorigenesis, including prostaglandin synthesis. In addition, pseudopalmatine has been shown to inhibit retinoic acid-induced proliferation of human breast cancer cells.END>
