3-benzoyl-1H-pyrazole is an alkylsulfonyl halide that has a pyrazole ring on the left side of the molecule. It also has an alkoxy, benzoylpyrazole, and hydroxyl group attached to it. 3-benzoyl-1H-pyrazole inhibits target enzymes such as heterocycles, nitrogen nucleophiles, and dialkylamino. This compound inhibits herbicidal activity in plants by inhibiting enzymes such as fatty acid synthase or nitrate reductase. 3-benzoyl-1H-pyrazole has been shown to have synergistic effects when used with other herbicides such as 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4D).
