It has been shown to activate the ion channel TRPV1 and TRPV4, which are part of the transient receptor potential (TRP) family of ion channels. This peptide is an inhibitor of protein interactions such as antibody-antigen interactions and receptor-ligand interactions. 2-[Bis(2-hydroxyethyl)amino]benzo[H]chromen-4-one is also a receptor ligand for the G protein coupled receptors GPR37 and GPR38.
