Cicloprolol-d5 is a protein inhibitor that belongs to the class of medicinal compounds known as cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the activity of kinases, which are enzymes involved in cell cycle regulation and proliferation. Cicloprolol-d5 has been shown to induce apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in cancer cells. This compound has demonstrated anticancer activity in Chinese hamster ovary cells and human tumor cell lines. It is a potent inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases and may have potential as an anticancer agent.
