Información del producto
Ethyl 2-(4-chlorophenoxy)acetoacetate (ECAA) is a chiral building block that is used as an antilipidemic agent. ECAA inhibits the transfer of cholesterol from HDL to LDL, and can also inhibit the transfer of phospholipids, triglycerides, and other lipids. ECAA has been shown to be useful as a biocatalyst in hydroxylation reactions. It has been shown to be an effective x-ray analog for studying enantioselective hydrogenation reactions. This compound is synthesized by the yeast Kluyveromyces variabilis using a stereoselective process. The enantiomers of ECAA are not racemic mixtures, but are instead optically pure compounds that have different chemical properties due to their different chiral centers.
