6-Phenyl-1-[(pyridin-4-yl)methyl]-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine-4-carboxylic acid (6PPC) is a proton pump inhibitor that inhibits gastric acid secretion by blocking H+/K+ ATPase. It has been shown to be effective in treating autoimmune diseases and hypertension. 6PPC is used to treat a number of diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn's disease. This drug also inhibits the activity of cannabinoid receptors and has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in cell culture and animal models.
