Descripción:CAY10566 is a novel compound that has been shown to induce apoptosis in cells. It binds to the cytosolic protein cytochrome c, which is involved in the mitochondrial electron transport chain. This binding leads to an increase of intracellular levels of hydrogen peroxide and reactive oxygen species (ROS), leading to increased cell apoptosis. CAY10566 also inhibits autophagy, a process that assists in the degradation of cellular components during starvation or other unfavorable conditions. This drug was also found to inhibit cell growth and proliferation by suppressing the MAPK/AMPK pathway, which regulates cellular metabolism and growth.
