4H,5H,6H,7H-Thieno[3,2-c]pyridine-5-sulfonamide is a small molecule that binds to the ion channel proteins in cells. It has been shown to be an inhibitor for Kv1.4 and Kv4.2 channels and may have potential therapeutic applications for diseases such as epilepsy. 4H,5H,6H,7H-Thieno[3,2-c]pyridine-5-sulfonamide is also a good research tool for studying protein interactions and peptide binding properties by measuring its ability to inhibit the activity of the protein of interest. This compound was used to identify a new binding site on the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE).
