Descripción:2,2'-Ethylenedioxydiphenol is a cation that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of glycols, esters, and polyethylene glycols. It can also be used to catalyze reactions involving aliphatic compounds and ethers. 2,2'-Ethylenedioxydiphenol has been shown to react with dichlorides to form ethyl esters. This reaction proceeds via two pathways: one involving macrocyclic intermediates and the other involving aliphatic intermediates. The constants of these two pathways are different.
