Descripción:2-Phenylthiazole-4-carbaldehyde is a lipase inhibitor that has been shown to have anti-cancer and anti-bacterial properties. It is used in vitro for cytotoxic activity against cancer cells, as well as antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and other bacteria. 2-Phenylthiazole-4-carbaldehyde inhibits the synthesis of amines by competitive inhibition of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. This leads to an accumulation of acetylcholine, which stimulates muscarinic receptors on the surface of smooth muscle cells, leading to an increase in intracellular calcium levels and cell death.
