This inhibition prevents the transmission of signals from the receptor to the inside of the cell, which may be responsible for the reduction in inflammation, immunosuppression, and cancer. N-Cycloheptyl-N-ethylamine is being developed as an anti-inflammatory drug for use in autoimmune diseases and cardiovascular diseases. It also has been shown to have anti-cancer properties by inhibiting pyrimidine synthesis in cancer cells.
