Ensartinib is an investigational drug that is used to treat some types of cancer, such as non-small cell lung cancer. It inhibits tumor cells by blocking the activity of a protein called ALK, which is involved in many cellular processes. Ensartinib has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on tumors in clinical trials and has a safety profile that indicates it can be administered orally. Functional studies have shown that ensartinib targets lesions in the body, such as those caused by cancer, by inhibiting homologous recombination repair. Alectinib is not active against other types of cancers.
