It is an epoxide that can be prepared by the Wittig reaction of 2,3-dibromopyridine with ethylene oxide. The population of 2,6-DHP has been shown to have enantiopure properties in the synthesis of pyridines and ring-opening reactions with primary amines. This compound also has low spin and solvates.
