CB-1158 is a molecule that is expressed in a low amount at normal body temperature and an increased amount at the optimum ph of the tumor microenvironment. This molecule has been shown to activate T cells, which are responsible for immune responses against tumors. CB-1158 has also been shown to be effective as a chemotherapy agent for cancer treatment. It induces apoptosis in myeloid-derived suppressor cells, leading to tumor necrosis. CB-1158 is active against cancer cells and pro-inflammatory cytokines by inhibiting their proliferation and production, respectively.
