Descripción:9-BBN is a reactive borane that is used in organic synthesis as a reducing agent. It can be synthesized from diborane and methoxy groups. 9-BBN reacts with hydroxy groups to form α-pinene. The reaction mechanism of 9-BBN with amines has been studied using NMR spectroscopy and functional theory. The product of this reaction is the lactam, which has been shown to have reactive functional groups that can react with other molecules.
