Descripción:2-Imidazolidone-4-carboxylic acid is a potent inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinases, which are enzymes that break down proteins in the extracellular matrix. 2-Imidazolidone-4-carboxylic acid inhibits the activity of both serine protease and matrix metalloproteinase, two enzymes involved in the inflammation process. 2-Imidazolidone-4-carboxylic acid has been shown to inhibit the transport of amino acids, leading to decreased protein synthesis and cell growth. It also inhibits cancer cells by disrupting their ability to grow new blood vessels and invade other tissues.
