Información del producto
Calcium iodide hydrate is an inorganic compound that is a source of calcium and iodine. It is used to make hydroxyapatite, which is used in bone grafts and tooth fillings. Calcium iodide hydrate reacts with acetonitrile under optimal conditions to produce hydrogen chloride, water, and molecular ions. The acid formed then reacts with the hydroxyl group on the molecule's hydrocarbon chain to form an organic acid, which can be reduced by a reducing agent such as sodium borohydride or sodium cyanoborohydride. This reaction also produces hydrogen ions (H+), which react with the hydroxy group on the molecule's hydrocarbon chain to form a particle or ion. The activation energy for this reaction is high because it requires a lot of energy for the molecules to break apart from each other.
