2-((2-(2-Methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)methyl)oxirane is a compound that belongs to the family of polyethers. It is a colorless liquid with a boiling point of 100°C and an odorless, sweet taste. This compound is used as a solvent in ethylene polymerization and as a co-solvent in copolymerization reactions. 2-((2-(2-Methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)methyl)oxirane has also been studied for its potential use as an organic solvent, such as for the extraction of metal ions or the separation of hydrocarbons. 2-((2-(2-Methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)methyl)oxirane has been shown to enhance the phase transition temperature of poly(ethylene oxide).
