3-Isopropylveratrole is a ketone that is produced by the debromination of isopropylbenzene. It has been shown to be toxic to nematodes and found in habitats that are high in carbonyl compounds, such as pine forests. 3-Isopropylveratrole has a carbonyl group that can be identified by its electron configuration and a racemic form that can be identified optically. This compound can be used for the synthesis of other organic compounds and also has hypotensive properties. 3-Isopropylveratrole is not trackable because it does not contain any heavy elements, but it can be found in butyric acid.
