• Descripción: Luteolin-7-glucuronide is a bioactive compound that belongs to the group of flavonoids. It is a hydroxycinnamic acid that has been shown to inhibit vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation and collagen synthesis, as well as to modulate extracellular matrix production. Luteolin-7-glucuronide also has growth factor activity, which stimulates tissue growth and wound healing. This compound has been shown to induce death in photoreceptor cells, although it does not affect tissue growth or wound healing. Luteolin-7-glucuronide may act as a phototoxic agent by generating reactive oxygen species in photoreceptors, leading to death of these cells.
