• Descripción: Quinoline-2-carbothioamide is a quinolinecarboxamide antiviral agent that inhibits the growth of viruses by inhibiting their replication. Quinoline-2-carbothioamide binds to viral RNA at the c1-8 alkyl and c1-6 alkyl positions and prevents its synthesis. It also binds to plant tissue and has been shown to inhibit the growth of certain types of cancer cells. This drug is not active against HIV, although it has been shown to be effective in treating some forms of cancer.
