It also inhibits the production of amyloid beta and has been shown to have neuroprotective effects in vitro. 3-{[(4-Chlorophenyl)methyl]sulfamoyl}-4-methoxybenzoic acid is used as a research tool for studying protein interactions, ligand binding, ion channels, and antibody binding. 3-{[(4-Chlorophenyl)methyl]sulfamoyl}-4-methoxybenzoic acid is not active against bacteria or fungi.
