Fenbuconazole-lactone B is a synthetic, broad-spectrum antibiotic that is active against bacteria, viruses, and fungi. It acts by inhibiting DNA synthesis in microorganisms. Fenbuconazole-lactone B has been used in the treatment of various bacterial infections including tuberculosis, typhoid fever, and meningitis. This drug has also been shown to be effective against viral infections such as HIV and herpes simplex. Fenbuconazole-lactone B has also been shown to be an effective antiviral agent against influenza virus type A (H1N1) and influenza virus type B (H3N2).
