Información del producto
2-(4-Methoxyphenoxy)benzenecarbonitrile (2-MPBNC) is a catalytic reagent that can activate C-H bonds. It is a powerful oxidant that can cleave arenes and arene oxides. 2-MPBNC has been used for the oxidation of halogenated aromatic hydrocarbons, such as chlorinated benzenes, to give nitriles in high yield with good selectivity. This compound also catalyzes the silylation of arenes and thiocyanates. The cyanide anion generated by this reaction is trapped by a nucleophile such as ammonia to generate cyanohydrins or alkylcyanides.
